Today, our group has 15+ members, (Lawrie, Cindy, Bianca, Laura T., Jim M., Jennifer, Randi, Jim, Nichole, Andrew, Paul, Adam, Kees, Joan, Ken, Alan, Susan, Emily, Evan, Shelley, Aileen, Melissa, Loretta, Donna, Jean, Glen, JoAnn, Doris, Harold, Donna M, Linda, Laura K., Vanessa)……….that help on a regular basis with fundraising and projects. We work on local projects around the community and travel to Nicaragua to do mission work. Our last trip was in July of 2008 and we built a Church in Masaya as well as provided dental and medical supplies to a hospital in El Viejo. We provided 800 pounds of food to families in the area and supplied clothing, blankets and pillows to those who needed it. We also provide ongoing support to a wonderful lady named Francesca.
Our main goal at Kn.E.C.T. is to make connections. Our goals for this year are to provide support to people in need within the Elora/Fergus area as well as participate in a Habitat for Humanity project in Guelph.
Our next international mission is planned for the summer of 2011.
